Raven’s Bakery on Ditchling Road, in Brighton, is well-loved for its hot cross buns.
Every year, people queue outside the shop on Good Friday to purchase some of its popular sweet treat.

Despite the rain, people were not deterred with pictures showing a queue trailing down the street.
Some shoppers arrived as early as 6.30am to ensure they secured their goods, with the store opening at 8am.
One customer could even be seen with a wheelbarrow full of hot cross buns.

Queueing for Raven’s’ hot cross buns has become a Good Friday tradition for many in Brighton.
The shop sells thousands of hot cross buns across the Easter weekend.
One bun lover queuing last year described the buns as “legendary” having met people in the queue from Worthing, Guildford and London.
They said: “There must be some secret ingredient – they’re really fluffy, much nicer than shop bought.”
