Pedestrian hit by bus and injured in Brighton city centre - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates



A section of Western Road in Brighton was closed yesterday morning, April 3, due to the incident.

Emergency services attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was reopened at 10am.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Anyone with any information or footage of the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 230 of 03/04.”

A spokesman for Stagecoach, the operator of the bus involved, said: “Stagecoach can confirm that our Service 700, was involved in a road traffic incident on Western Road, Brighton, 3 April 2026.

“Emergency services attended the scene, and we are working closely with local authorities. We would like to thank the emergency services for their swift response.

“The safety of our customers, employees, and the wider public is our top priority.”
