Emergency services responded to a building on McPhater Street after the alarm was raised at around 7.20pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters say they received reports of a flat fire within the accommodation.
Operations Control sent three fire engines and one high-reach vehicle to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) noted that the building was “fully evacuated” during this time.
Crews then extinguished a small fire. There were no reported injuries.

An SFRS spokesperson said: “We received a call at around 7.18pm on Tuesday, March 10, to reports of a flat fire at student accommodation on McPhater Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances and one high-reach vehicle to the area. There was a full evacuation carried out.
“Crews extinguished a small fire in one flat there. There were no reported injuries, and the last appliance left the scene at 7.41pm.”
