How fundraisers add their own take to Christmas words - UK Daily: Tech, Science, Business & Lifestyle News Updates

Christmas is a time for giving, and for fundraisers giving full rein to their creativity. How do you make your Christmas fundraising campaign stand out? By coming up with your own version of the word ‘Christmas’ or its related terms.

  • Santathon Santadash

There is plenty of scope for more festive portmanteaus and puns to help make appeals feel fun and seasonal.

Here are some more suggestions. You’re welcome!

  • Festiv-ale – A festive charity beer/wine tasting.
  • Reindeerrace – A playful run or race event with a reindeer theme.
  • Elf-thon – A charity marathon inspired by Santa’s helpers.
  • ChristmaTHON – A longer, themed fundraising challenge.
  • Jingle Jog – A fun run incorporating jingle bells or festive music.
  • Givemas – A campaign name focusing on giving as part of Christmas.
  • Carol-a-thon – A sponsored carol singing event.
  • Snowball-thon – A sponsored “snowball fight” (virtually or in a safe setting).
  • Reindeer Games – A set of competitive fundraising games.

And of course “Jingle” is very flexible, and ably used by the repeatedly successful Jingle Jam, which has raised £31 million since 2011.
