Boofi, a restaurant located at The Forge retail park, first opened in April 2024 , but has now closed “until further notice,” according to a statement shared by the company on social media.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
“We invite you to visit our other locations at Glasgow Fort and Clydebank , which are open and ready to serve you.
“Additionally, we are excited to announce the upcoming opening of a new restaurant in East Kilbride, and we look forward to welcoming you there soon.
“We would like to thank all of our customers for your continued support and understanding.
“We will update you with more information as soon as possible.”
No reason has been given for the sudden closure.
Customers have taken to social media to share their disappointment.
One Facebook user said: “Gutted this one was the best one.”
Another wrote: “Nooo! This is by far the best one, don’t want to go to the others.”
Several diners speculated about the reason behind the closure, with one commenting: “Wonder what happened, just out of the blue to close it, and divert to other units.”
A second person added: “Wonder what’s happened.”
Another simply wrote: “Closed already.”
The restaurant’s other locations in Glasgow Fort and Clydebank remain open.
