Gillingham manager Gareth Ainsworth has a near fully-fit squad to choose from this weekend.
Ainsworth could even have winger Garath McCleary available for the trip, despite the 38-year-old being injured last Saturday in the defeat against Oldham Athletic.
McCleary was unable to play the second half in that game, much to the manager’s frustration, but there is a chance the injury is only a minor one.
Speaking on Thursday afternoon, Ainsworth said: “We are still looking at Garath and assessing whether he could be involved at the weekend.
“He was a big loss at half-time when he went off. He was probably one of our most productive players going forward in that first half, especially in that last 20 minutes.
“When I got the news that he was feeling a muscle and we had to get him off, I was gutted.
“If I can get Garath in the team, he’s a real big asset for us. There’s a chance, which is great news.”
Nelson Khumbeni is still training and close to a return. The midfielder is keen to be involved but Ainsworth is likely to wait for confirmation before considering him.
Ainsworth said: “He is now on the grass, which is great. I think he has to get signed off by a surgeon before he has contact.
“Nelson’s saying he’s fine, he can have contact. That’s something we have to consider.”
Defender Conor Masterson remains out but Ainsworth added: “I think he’s the only one now who’s out. It’s great. It’s brilliant to have a full squad to pick from.”
There are some fringe players hoping to show what they can do but Ainsworth isn’t likely to make wholesale changes, despite the home humbling they endured last weekend.
He said: “If the boys [in the team] aren’t performing then, yes, the ones who have been saying to me, ‘Gaffer, I’ll do this for you, I’ll do that for you’, they have to have a chance.
“There are contracts coming up [at the end of the season]. I have to give people a fair shot but I don’t want to balance it by putting a team of people out who haven’t played, and they might not even be up to match speed yet.
“It’s a balancing act, but love it. Love the job and ready to go again on Saturday.
“I’m sure there’ll be one or two new faces in the squad but also, you can’t make wholesale changes with a team that’s done so well over 11 months.
“[A few weeks ago at Crewe] we’re talking about winning that and we’re three points off Crewe – and they’re in the playoffs. Two games after that, we’re now all doom and gloom.
“This game changes quick. We’ve certainly got a lot of games to go yet and a lot of points to play for.
“It is so amazing how it can change like that with two-set pieces, against Crewe and Chesterfield. That’s the difference.”
