A 37-year-old woman has also been arrested
Detectives continuing to investigate a number of hoax bomb calls have made three arrests.
PSNI Detective Inspector Keon said two men, aged 46 and 32, were arrested in East Belfast on Wednesday, February 4 on suspicion of offences including communicating false information causing a bomb hoax, intimidation and drug-related crimes. They were released on bail pending further enquiries.
Today, Friday February 20, both of these men have been “re-arrested and are assisting officers with their enquiries in custody at present”.
“This morning a number of searches were carried out in the Lisburn and Belfast area as part of our investigation,” DI Keon added.
“This has resulted in the seizure a quantity of cash and a number of mobile phones and a quantity of suspected controlled drugs. A 37-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of a number of drug-related offences and remains in custody at this time.
“An update will follow in due course.”
