The former Rangers player has launched a campaign to assist the Colombian people following the humanitarian crisis.

More than 120,000 people have been affected by the flooding, which is at historic levels.

Colombia declared a state of emergency, with 14 lives lost and deluges leaving 40,000 hectares of land under water.

The Morelos Foundation, which was founded seven years ago, has responded to the crisis.

On the social media platform X, Mr Morelos can be seen actively involved in the relief efforts.

Mr Morelos said: “I am well aware of the situation in Cordoba, and the Foundation is working incredibly hard so that we can help our people.

“The situation is very critical, and I, on behalf of my Foundation, am taking this opportunity to send this message asking for the support of the people.

“I will make myself available to everyone to help our people and would appeal to anyone who can help to donate or give clothes or food to the charity for us to pass it on.”
