Officers in Wishaw are growing “increasingly concerned” about the behaviour of young people at the car park near the Houldsworth Centre.
Police say youngsters are gathering around the stairwells and car park and that there is “clear evidence of drug and alcohol misuse” in the area.
Vehicles have reportedly been damaged, and people are “scared and intimidated” by the behaviour.
Cops are now appealing to parents to discourage their children from gathering at this spot.
They added that directed patrols will take place in the area, and police will be supporting staff at the centre, which is run by NHS Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council.
