This five-year-old greyhound, once a racing dog, is now looking for a place to call home.
He may be the size of a small pony, but Donny is said to be “super sweet and affectionate”, with long legs that mean he prances like a show pony and is the perfect companion for trips out and about.

According to the Dogs Trust Glasgow, Donny is a “gentleman.”
Donny has a habit of leaning toward you for some scratches and tends to take his time when picking treats.
His carers said he loves his walks, as long as he’s dressed appropriately for the weather.
The Dogs Trust Glasgow team said he goes by the saying “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing,” meaning he is more than content to stroll around with you if he has his coat on.
Donny’s friendly and social demeanour comes forth when he meets dogs of a similar size who he greets with a nudge.
However, his previous racing experience and high prey drive necessitate that Donny be kept on a lead and muzzled in public places.
Donny also likes the company of his loved ones and would appreciate a home with plenty of human or canine companionship.
If left alone, it should be introduced slowly as Donny adapts to his new surroundings.
Caution is advised as Donny can be a bit wary of new places and unfamiliar sounds.
Donny would enjoy access to his own secure garden where he can play and relax.
With children, Donny can fit into a home with kids of primary school age and older.
It shouldn’t be too hard as Donny is known to be “super sweet and affectionate.”

“He has a refined palate and likes to take his time selecting the most appetising treat from what his carers have on offer.
