Ska-pop icons Madness are set to headline a night of the On The Beach Festival on Friday, July 24, with an evening organisers have dubbed ‘Madrophenia.’
The event will run from 2pm to 10.30pm.
In a statement, the band said: “Brighton beach in July – the sea, the sunshine, Madness and yous…
“That’s not just a concert, that’s a proper British summer experience.
“Pack your flip flops and head to the beach for a very special show we are calling Madrophenia… and a word to the wise, come early because we have got a fantastic line up, you won’t want to miss a minute.”
Known for their infectious energy and crowd-pleasing anthems, Madness say they will bring a lively set to the seafront, featuring hits like Our House, It Must Be Love, House of Fun, Baggy Trousers, and One Step Beyond.
The band have achieved 15 UK top 10 singles and three number one albums, in a long and successful career.
Formed in north London more than four decades ago, the band has gone on to sell millions of records worldwide.

This performance follows the release of their 2025 album Hit Parade, a greatest hits compilation featuring 45 singles from their 45-year history.
The album includes 27 top 40 hits.
In 2023, Madness secured their first-ever UK number one studio album with Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie.
Their performance at Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Jubilee and their record-breaking BBC New Year’s Eve broadcast in 2018 added to their elevated status.
