The latest Department for Education figures have revealed how pupils performed in reading, writing and maths during the 2024–2025 academic year across the UK.
Data revealed that 71 per cent of pupils across Bromley reached the expected standard, placing Bromley second overall among south east London boroughs, after Greenwich.
The figures highlight the percentage of pupils who met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, with pupils only counted if they achieved the standard in all three subjects.
Schools showing a zero per cent result due to insufficient data were removed from the rankings.
Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green topped the borough rankings, with 97 per cent of pupils reaching the expected standard.
It was followed by St James’ Roman Catholic Primary School at 94 per cent, while Highfield Junior School and La Fontaine Academy both recorded 92 per cent.
Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green is celebrating national recognition after being ranked among the top 100 primary schools in England for Key Stage 2 attainment.
According to figures, 97 per cent of pupils achieved the expected standard across reading, writing and mathematics combined, a notable increase from 89 per cent the previous year.
The academy also recorded exceptional results in individual subjects, including 100 per cent of pupils meeting the expected standard in writing, alongside high numbers achieving the higher standard in reading and maths.
Principal Max Ellington said: “The outstanding outcomes which we have received in the latest Key Stage Two attainment metrics rightly reflect the hard work our pupils put in to reach their full potential.

“It is excellent to see our academy placed among the very best schools in the country for reading, writing and mathematics, and we look forward to continuing to provide the high standard of education which all our pupils deserve.”
Meanwhile, St James’ Roman Catholic Primary School also celebrated securing second place in the borough rankings with 94 per cent.
School leaders said the results were a reflection of the dedication shown by pupils, staff and families, and the school’s commitment to delivering a high-quality Catholic education at the heart of the local community.
Headteacher Lisa Weeks said: “I am, of course, immensely proud of the wonderful results that our children have achieved, and for the support that the parents give.
“I also want to recognise the diligence and professionalism of the staff, who prepare these young people so well for the next stage of their educational journey.”
