The Cruin, in Alexandria, closed its public dining area in 2021, but has announced its comeback next week.

The restaurant will open on Thursday, February 5, 2026, much to the delight of its customers.

Announcing the news in a post, they said: “We are thrilled to announce that our restaurant is officially reopening by popular demand.

“You spoke, we listened, and we knew it was time to bring our much-loved dishes back to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

“Do not worry, weddings and events will still be at the heart of what we do.

“Our restaurant will simply work around our wedding schedule so everyone can enjoy a taste of The Cruin, no invitation required.

“So this means if there is an exclusive event taking place, the restaurant will be closed.

“We now have an online booking system where you can view our opening dates and reserve your table with ease.”
