Police have released a statement after a patrol car collided with a taxi in Belfast city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The collision happened shortly after 1am on Sunday, January 25 at the junction of Grosvenor Road and Great Victoria Street as the police vehicle was responding to a call.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “A police vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Howard Street area of Belfast City Centre shortly after 1.05am on Sunday, January 25.
“There have been no reports of any serious injuries at this time. The road has now reopened following the collision. “Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and police would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have dashcam footage available from the scene, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 85 of 25/1/26.”
