A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Belfast this morning.

Emergency services were called in the early hours of Wednesday, January 21, after reports a man had been stabbed in the abdomen in the Woodland Avenue area, in the north of the city.

Police attended the scene along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, who took the man on to hospital for treatment to his injuries. A PSNI spokesperson added: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with any information, including CCTV, dash-cam or other footage, to contact detectives on the 101 number, quoting reference 136 of 21/01/26. “You can also submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/.”
