Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward

A man aged in his 50s has died in hospital following a serious crash on the M2. The collision involved one vehicle and took place on the coastbound carriageway of the motorway near the Medway service station at 8pm on Thursday, January 15.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene of the crash, including officers from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics.

The driver of a gold-coloured Jaguar XF had sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for care.

Kent Police has confirmed that the man died in hospital on Saturday, January 17. Investigations into the collision are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “An investigation by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit continues and witnesses, including those with dashcam footage, are urged to call the appeal line.
