Jay’s twin sister said she didn’t ‘know how to do life’ without him and that ‘losing a twin is losing part of yourself.’
Tributes from the family of a man who died following a collision with a car in Herne Bay describe him as an ‘angel’ and a ‘sweet boy’. Jay Clive Wyles-Boorman from Canterbury was pronounced dead at the scene on January 9, 2026.
In an emotional tribute, his twin sister said she didn’t ‘know how to do life’ without him. She said that ‘losing a twin is losing part of yourself.’
The incident took place on the high street at around 10:09pm when an orange Honda motorbike collided with a blue Mercedes, both travelling in the same direction.
Mr Wyles-Boorman’s twin sister, Evelyn Wyles-Boorman asked Kent Police to issue the tribute on behalf of the family.
She said: “It is with deep sadness that I have to announce the death of my twin brother, Jay Clive Wyles-Boorman. Jay was my brother but before anything else, my best friend – the person I grew up with, shared my life with, and knew me in a way no one else ever could.
“Oh my angel, my sweet boy. Forever 20. I don’t know how to do life without you, and I never will. Losing a twin is losing part of yourself, and I have never felt so empty.
“I don’t have the words for the space you’ve left behind. Our family is devastated. We have lost a son, a brother, and a grandson and nothing will ever feel the same without him.
“Jay was deeply loved, and I will never let anyone forget who he was or what he meant to us. This doesn’t come close to capturing my pain, but I wanted to say something.
“My twin. My brother. The other half of me. My entire being in another body. We will need and miss you for the rest of our lives, no matter how long or short they are. Sleep tight, our beautiful boy. We love you.”
