The figures come from On Time Trains, which assesses 2,644 stations based on punctuality, delays and cancellations.
Each station is given an overall performance score and ranked nationally, allowing passengers to see how local services are performing compared with the rest of the UK.
The data also includes average daily passenger entries and exits, highlighting the borough’s busiest and quietest stations.
The analysis shows a wide variation across Bromley’s stations.
Figures show Bromley South was ranked as the borough’s busiest station, ranking 80th busiest in the country, with an average of 16,970 entries and exits per day in 2025.
Orpington came closely behind with 13,671 entries, while Crystal Palace also ranks among the top 200 busiest stations nationwide.
At the quieter end of the scale, Birkbeck recorded the lowest footfall in the borough, with just 289 daily entries and exits, followed by Knockholt (517) and Sundridge Park (529).

Comparisons with 2024 show passenger numbers have risen at most Bromley stations, particularly at Bromley South and Orpington, both of which saw noticeable increases in daily usage.
Performance rankings have also improved at several locations, with stations such as Eden Park, Clock House and West Wickham climbing hundreds of places nationally.
Bromley North was ranked as the borough’s best performing station over the past six months, while Chelsfield recorded the lowest performance score locally.
Stations in the borough are operated by a mix of operators including Southeastern, London Overground (Transport for London), Thameslink and Southern.
Bromley North stood out nationally, ranking fourth best out of 2,644 stations, with a 99 per cent performance score.
Over the last six months, the station handled 12,482 services, with 96 per cent of trains arriving on time and virtually no recorded delays or cancellations.
The station serves a small three-stop service between Grove Park and Bromley North with no other stations running through the station, contributing to it being one of the least used stations in the borough.
At the other end of the scale, Chelsfield ranked 1,331st nationally, making it Bromley’s worst performing station.
The station recorded 14,867 services over the same period and achieved a performance score of 85 per cent.
Just 26 per cent of trains arrived on time, while the majority were delayed by one to two minutes, and a notable proportion experienced longer delays.
Despite this, Chelsfield still improved its national ranking by 136 places compared to the previous six months.
