James Kingston made it four wins in a row at Saturday’s Kent County Cross-Country Championships.
Tonbridge AC’s Kingston completed the 12,000m distance in 38min16sec – two seconds faster than his 2025 time and more than a minute clear of Tunbridge Wells Harriers’ Dillon Hobbs (39.19). Completing the top three was Blackheath & Bromley Harriers’ Charlie Davis (39.26).
There were wins at both six and 12-to-score for Tonbridge’s senior men’s team.
Blackheath & Bromley Harriers’ Andrea Clement took the senior women’s honours this year, her 31.07 was 10 seconds faster than clubmate and best of the rest Hannah Clark. In third was Eleanor Baker of Tonbridge AC.
B&B were three-to-score winners while Tonbridge were six-to-score senior champions.
There was more success for Blackheath & Bromley in the under-20 men’s race, Jed Starvis taking victory in 20.03, while the under-20 women’s spoils went to Medway & Maidstone’s Lola Sutton (22.47).
Joseph Scanes joined Clement as a B&B winner, taking first place in the men’s under-17 event in 15.00. The women’s under-17 champion this year was Weald Tri Club’s Sophie Richmond (17.03).
Under-15 champions were Ayotunde Dauda (14.08) and Charlotte Foster (15.12) – both of Cambridge Harriers – while Blackheath & Bromley’s Emery Aldridge was the boys’ under-13 winner in 10.38 with Eva Vitorino Hiietamm (Sevenoaks) triumphing in the girls’ category.
