Police have confirmed that a man aged in his 30s has died following a two-car collision near Nutts Corner in Crumlin on Sunday afternoon, January 11.

A pregnant woman who earlier died in hospital as a result of the same incident was previously identified as Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco. Tragically it’s now believed that Cathrene’s husband Ralph Singco, who was also a passenger in the same car and in his 30s, has succumbed to his devastating injuries.

The couple had just marked their sixth wedding anniversary on Saturday. A number of other people sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The vehicles involved, a blue Ford Fiesta and a silver Skoda Superb collided on the Moira Road at around 2pm. Police stated that a number of other people sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Detective Inspector Stewart, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are investigating what happened and require the public’s assistance with our enquiries.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any dash-cam footage of the road at the time which could assist with our investigation, please contact us in the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 735 11/01/26.”

Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco, who was in her 30s, died after the two-car collision near Nutts Corner in Crumlin on Sunday afternoon, January 11. Eight people were taken to hospital after the crash.

Cathrene, a healthcare worker who was originally from Davao City in the Philippines, was a backseat passenger. She later died in hospital from her injuries alongside her unborn baby.
