A man has been charged following a series of burglaries at a hotel in Dartford. Officers were called to the premises in Top Dartford Road, Wilmington, in October 2025 after two victims reported items had been taken from their rooms including money, jewellery and bank cards.

It is alleged cards were later used to make fraudulent purchases. Following enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage, officers made an arrest on Friday (January 2).

Phillip Brown, 58, of Walmer Terrace, Plumstead, was later charged with two counts of burglary. He was also charged with a further burglary offence linked to an incident at the hotel in September 2024.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (January 3) where he was granted conditional bail and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, January 30.
