A 72-year-old man has been charged with 14-related offences say police

A 72-year-old man has been charged with 14 additional offences as PSNI detectives from the Organised Crime Branch continue to investigate a large-scale human trafficking operation.

A police spokesman said the man was produced from Magilligan prison earlier today where the offences included rape and human trafficking in respect of three further females.

He will appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court via video link on Thursday, January 8.

The spokesperson said that as is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
