The Glasgow Times spoke to locals at the scene today, where one resident claimed they found the man’s body while out walking their dog.

He said: “I was out walking my dog late on Friday night, and it started acting funny along the path.

“When I looked into the grass behind the flats, which is fenced off, I could see a man lying on his back.

“I shouted to him, and he didn’t respond, so when I got home I phoned the police.”

The Glasgow Times understands that cops have been in the area and a cordon has been in place since the body was discovered.

Another local said: “The police have been here for ages, we heard someone fell from the flats but don’t know what’s happened.”

A couple who stay on the street said they thought they heard “arguing” late at night, but also noted that “there were a lot of parties happening on Friday night, and it was hard to hear.”
