The victim was left unconscious at the bottom of some steps
Officers from Kent Police have released CCTV images of two males they want to speak to after a vulnerable man was targeted in a robbery in Maidstone. The incident happened on Broadway, near the crown court.
The victim, in his 50s, is reported to have had his bag snatched before being pulled down the steps leading to the underpass, knocking him unconscious and breaking his glasses, Kent Police said. He was taken to hospital for medical care and has since been discharged.
The incident happened at around 4.35pm on Saturday, November 22, but today (January 2) officers have released some images of the people they want to identify. Detective Constable Alex Bagnall, of Kent Police, said: “We have been carrying out a review of available CCTV footage in the area and believe the males in the images may be able to assist our investigation.
“Although one of them in particular cannot be clearly seen, we are hopeful somebody may still recognise them from their clothing or may have seen them together at the time.”
Anyone who recognises the males is urged to call the appeal line on 01622 604100 quoting the reference 46/201135/25. If you do not wish to speak to police, you can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111 or you can use the online form here.
