They’ve now been “blown away as they shared the sum raised and thanked a neighbouring business who helped double their total.
The coffee shop shared the update, saying: “When we opened our doors on Christmas Day, we decided to do things a little differently, no prices on the coffees, just a donation tin in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
“What happened next honestly blew us away, you came, you queued and you donated incredibly generously, raising a total of £3000 in just 2 hours!
“And as if that wasn’t enough, the guys upstairs at Energy-io have very generously offered to match the donations, taking the total to a whopping £6,000.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated and helped spread a little kindness this Christmas.
“This is exactly why we love what we do.
“Here’s to community, coffee, and doing good together.”
People rushed to the comments to heap praise on the shop for the event.
One said: “It was such a beautiful Christmas community charity morning, bravo @novar.drive team.”
Another added: “Amazing – such a lovely thing to do and great vibe to boot.”
While a third wished them well for the year ahead: “Great community, great coffee, WONDERFUL TEAM, here’s to 2026.”
