The fire, which happened on Farhalls Crescent, blocked the road both ways between Lambs Farm Road and Rough Way.
The fire service have confirmed all occupants are accounted for.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said “We were called at 12.43pm to reports of a fire involving a residential property on Farhalls Crescent in Horsham.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform to the scene. Upon arrival firefighters wearing breathing apparatus began bringing the fire under control using four jets and two high pressure hose reels. Fortunately all occupants are accounted for.
“Residents are urged to avoid the area for the time being to allow firefighters to work safely.”
