A sad moment brought us together in February, when Jimmy Martin, who played Eric in the hit BBC comedy, sadly passed away.
Michael Hinnes, director of the series, shared the heartbreaking news.
He said: “Just to let all the Still Game fans out there that Jimmy Martin “Eric” passed away today.
“He was a wonderful actor and I was honoured to call him pal.”

Lorraine Kelly opens up about cutting down hosting ITV show

Lorraine Kelly celebrated her 40th year in television back in October 2024.
After becoming a granmother, the 65-year-old opened up about why she has decided to cut down on the number of days she hosts her ITV show, with the likes of Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh often at the helm instead.
Speaking to Woman & Home magazine , she shared: “Not presenting on Fridays gives me a chance to breathe and brings me in line with everyone else.
“Phil and Holly used to do four days, lovely Ben and Cat do four. Susanna does four and three.
“I wasn’t sure about it at first because I’ve been working five days a week for 40 years. It was a wee bit of a wrench.”

Glasgow restaurant hosts surprise visit from Hollywood star
The Last of Us and Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey delighted fans during a surprise visit to a popular Glasgow restaurant.
The actor, best known for playing Ellie in HBO’s The Last of Us, was spotted dining at Ramen Dayo on Ashton Lane in the city’s West End .
The star posed for photos with staff, who shared their excitement on Instagram.

The singer of a popular Glasgow band has shared an adorable picture of his wife as they celebrate a huge milestone.
Ricky Ross, 67, who is Deacon Blue’s lead singer, posted an image of himself and his spouse, Lorraine McIntosh, on social media as the pair celebrated being married for 35 years.
The cute pair, who got married on May 12, 1990, have four children together.

Morning TV star Lorraine Kelly has shared that she “should have realised” her daughter Rosie was pregnant despite feeling “terrified” to break the news.
The broadcaster, originally from the Gorbals in Glasgow, became a granny in September 2024 when her daughter Rosie welcomed a baby girl named Billie.
However, Rosie admitted she had been “so nervous” about telling her mum the news, and chose to keep her pregnancy a secret until she reached the 12-week mark.

English rock band Wunderhorse did not play at the music festival in the city on Saturday, July 12.
The group, which formed in 2020, consists of Jacob Slater, Jamie Staples, Harry Fowler, and Seb Byford.

In October, amidst the uncertainty, Ally McCoist said he thought Derek McInnes and Stephen Robinson should be considered for the Rangers manager’s position.
At the time, Rangers were searching for new options after Steven Gerrard declined the job.
McCoist said: “I wouldn’t disagree with that.
“There’s nobody in Scotland who knows the Scottish game better than Derek.
“The job Stephen Robinson has done at St Mirren has been remarkable.”

Last month, former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was revealed to be among the favourites to replace Daniel Farke at Leeds United.
We reported that the 52-year-old left the Scottish champions two weeks before and was being linked with a number of managerial positions.
Bookmakers BetVictor had Rodgers as the second favourite (5/2) to replace Farke, who is under pressure at Leeds United.

Bishopbriggs presenter Storm Huntley to co-host new Channel 5 show

A Scottish journalist and presenter will front a brand new co-hosted talk show on Channel 5.
Storm Huntley will appear alongside Alexis Conran on the daytime TV programme, which will air from 11.30am to 12.45pm.
The refreshed line-up is part of Channel 5’s 2026 schedule shake-up.
Bishopbriggs-born Storm is currently a regular daytime presenter on Channel 5, on her late-morning show.
