Emergency crews raced to Carmunock Road at around 5pm on December 4 after the alarm was raised. 

Officers attended the scene and found that a 66-year-old man had been hit by a car.

The man can now be named as Patrick Stoddard from Glasgow.

Patrick, who has since turned 67 sistained serious injuries after being hit by a black Audi 1.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where he passed away on December 27.

Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances of the crash. 

They have urged anyone with information to come forward. 

Sergeant Jack Swindellssaid: “Our sympathies are with the family and friends of Patrick Stoddard at this time, and we continue to investigate this collision.

“Members of the public who witnessed what happened, or anyone with dash-cam or doorbell cam footage of the incident is asked to contact police immediately.”
