Earlier this month, the News Shopper asked its Facebook readers to help us find the most beautifully decorated Christmas trees in south east London, and the response was nothing short of magical.

Our social media page was soon flooded with photos showcasing creativity, personality and festive flair, proving once again that the region knows how to do Christmas in style.

Among the submissions was a striking modern white branch tree, adorned with warm white lights and a carefully curated mix of gold, navy and silver baubles.

Another reader shared a snow-dusted artificial tree, dressed in a classic palette of gold and silver.

A pink-themed Christmas tree, wrapped in shimmering mesh ribbon and glowing with multicoloured lights, brought a fun, Barbie-esque flair to the festivities.

Elsewhere, a full, traditional green tree stole the show with its rich red and gold colour scheme.

While we’ve only been able to include a handful of the trees shared with us, every submission reflected the same thing: a love of Christmas and a sense of community spirit that shines brightly across south east London.
