Drivers around the county are facing traffic delays this evening after several incidents.
Multiple crashes around north and south Kent have caused long queues and extra wait times for motorists.
One lane is blocked on the northbound exit slip road for the Lord Lees Roundabout on Blue Bell Hill, in Maidstone, due to a broken-down lorry.
Police were understood to be at the scene this afternoon (December 22).
Kent County Council’s highways teams are warning drivers to expect delays in the area and to approach with caution.
Traffic was also previously building on the M25 between Swanley Interchange and the Darenth Interchange after a crash at around 6pm.
All traffic was previously temporarily held, and one lane remains closed.
The A291 Herne Bay Road is shut in both directions due to emergency repairs between Sweechgate (Sturry) and Hicks Forstal Road (Calcott).
Officers were called at 11.50am following the single-vehicle collision, with minor injuries reported.
Residents have been warned to expect the road to stay closed for several hours due to an electricity cable being damaged.
Twenty-two properties have been affected by the incident.
There has also been a crash in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, near the junction with Hermitage Court.
Police have reportedly been called to the scene, near the hospital, with drivers being advised to approach with caution.
