Emergency services were called at 6.35pm on Thursday (December 18) to reports of a car having collided with a pedestrian on the B2187 Horsham Road, Littlehampton. The incident occurred just south of the Body Shop Roundabout.
The collision involved a black Mercedes A-Class and a woman in her 40s, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, to come forward.
