A suspect has been charged following multiple reports of vehicle interference in Deal.

It is alleged that cars were entered and searched in Sutherland Road, Bowling Green Lane, Orchard Avenue, Birdwood Avenue, St Augustine’s Road, Manor Road and London Road between Wednesday 10 December and Wednesday 17 December 2025.

Enquiries were carried out which led to officers arresting a man in the town on December 18. Mitchell Gent, 27, of Freemen’s Way, Deal was later charged with twelve counts of vehicle interference.

He was remanded to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court the following day. The investigation is ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with information relevant to their enquiries.
