Bringing in the Bells, airing from 11.20pm on December 31, will feature a glittering cast of Scottish talent including Jean Johansson, Grado and Susie McCabe.
Jean Johansson said: “When STV called me up and said I’ll be bringing in the bells this year with a huge star who’s sold out ten shows at the Hydro, I couldn’t contain my excitement at the thought of being sat next to Lewis Capaldi, Alex Turner or Robbie Williams.
“Turns out it’s Grado again… but truth be told, I can’t think of anyone better to see in the new year with than Scotland’s premier star of stage and screen!
“Roll on Hogmanay.”

In addition to Jean and Grado, the line-up includes STV presenters Sean Batty and Laura Boyd, as well as comedian Susie McCabe and broadcaster Gordon Smart.
The programme will be narrated by Sanjeev Kohli, who recently appeared in the hit Netflix series Dept. Q.
There will also be two musical performances from Ullapool accordionist RuMac, who reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Just after midnight, at 12.05am, STV will air Hogmanay, a short film written and produced by independent filmmaker Laura Harvey.
Named Best Scottish Film at this year’s HB Film Festival, Hogmanay stars Peter Mullan, Siobhan Redmond and Ann Louise Ross.
The film follows a Glasgow woman returning to her late father’s flat on Hogmanay, where the past, present and future collide.
Laura said: “We are extremely grateful to STV for giving this project a platform.
“The film explores how one person’s alcoholism affects three generations of women, but it’s also about Scottish culture, resilience and using the bells as an opportunity to make a fresh start – something I’m sure viewers across the country can relate to.”

Directed by Kirsty Hines-Mackay, the film was made with support from Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD) and North West Recovery Communities.
Richard Williams, managing director of audience at STV, said: “As well as our annual Hogmanay get-together with some of Scotland’s most dynamic personalities helping us count down to midnight, we’re excited to be hosting the TV premiere of this remarkable independent film, which perfectly encapsulates the often-bittersweet nature of Hogmanay.
“It’s a powerful piece of work, created by homegrown Scottish talent, and is exactly the type of project we’re passionate about supporting at STV.”
