PS Waverley, the world’s last remaining seagoing paddle steamer, was set to visit Eastbourne Pier on September 16.
A cruise was scheduled from Eastbourne to Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters, due to depart at 4.15pm and return at 6.30pm.
However, Eastbourne Pier announced today that the voyage will no longer go ahead due to “adverse weather.”

A spokesperson for said: “Our sincere apologies, but due to the weather forecast scheduled for September 16, the PS Waverley Sussex Coast Tour has been cancelled.
“Once again our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the adverse weather conditions.
“Best wishes from the trustees and crew of the PS Waverley.”
The cancellation comes with a yellow weather warning for strong winds in place.
The Met Office has warned that “strong and gusty winds” could cause disruption to travel and impact power across Sussex.
The warning came into force yesterday, September 14, at 8pm and will remain in place until 6pm today, September 15.
The forecaster said delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely, with the coast affected by spray and large waves.

It also warned that some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
The PS Waverly is due to return to Eastbourne again on September 23.
Three cruise options are available on the day.
The first is a one-way trip from Eastbourne to Folkestone, departing at 10.15am and returning at 1.15pm.
The second option is a one-way trip from Eastbourne to London Tower Pier, departing at 10.15am and arriving at 8.30pm.
The third option is to return to from London Tower Pier to Eastbourne, arriving around 10.45pm.
