Crews were called to a flat fire in Woodlands Road in East Grinstead yesterday evening.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 5.22pm on Monday (25 August) to a flat fire in Woodlands Road, East Grinstead.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised four fire engines to the scene.
“Upon arrival crews found the flat well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using high pressure hose reels and jets.
“Sussex Police were also in attendance.
“Crews left the scene at 8pm.”
