The Palace Pier posted a video on their social media channels of what appears to be a new ride being installed at night.
In the video, part of the roof at the entrance to the pier is lifted by a crane in order to get the components of the new ride through.

The equipment can then be seen being driven to the end of the pier, where the existing rides are.
One Instagram user speculated that the ride was of a ‘Miami Surf’ style.
The Palace Pier added a caption to the video, teasing further details soon.
It said: “Something exciting has arrived on Brighton Palace Pier.
“Watch this space for exciting updates soon…”
The video sparked intrigue amongst Instagram users, with one commenting: “Finally investing in the thrill market. So happy to see this!”
“I’ve always wondered how they get the rides on,” another user commented.
There was speculation the new ride would be a ‘Miami’ style ride, like this example (Image: Wikimedia) It’s the second time the pier has been in the news recently, after rapper Stormzy starred in a short film shot on the pier.
Titled Big Man, the film features a number of Brighton landmarks.
One moment in the film sees the trio enjoying the rides on the pier, before they take a trip to the arcade where the boys win a stuffed seagull toy.

They also visit West Pier Fish and Chip shop on King’s Road, picking up a portion of chips which they eat beside the i360 ticket booth.
