London to Brighton electric vehicle rally returns for 2025

The event, which finished in Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront, attracted thousands during today’s sweltering weather. 

Music blared from speakers as electric vehicles swung onto the final stretch following their 58-mile journey from London to Brighton. 

Around 120 cars took part in the rally, which started from Westminster City School at 7am, with the first vehicles crossing the finish line at around 9.30am. 

One of the electric vehicles at the event (Image: The Argus) Madeira Drive was taken over by stalls showing off cutting-edge technology and giving out information about electric vehicles.

This year’s rally merged with Charge & Drive, offering the public a chance to test drive the latest EVs in a relaxed setting.

Harrison Hughes, event director, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting the fifth annual London to Brighton EV Rally.
