Hundreds were seized by police from a man preparing to sell them in Bognor on June 1.

The man was seen unloading the goods from a vehicle when officers approached him and successfully confiscated all of the merchandise.

He was reported to licensing teams.

The seizure is part of a wider effort to enforce the nationwide ban on disposable vapes, which came into effect on June 1.

The ban is aimed at reducing the use of these devices among young people and curbing the litter they create.

Retailers are still allowed to sell reusable vapes, but the sale of single-use vapes is now illegal.

Rogue traders who continue to sell them risk a fine of £200 in the first instance, followed by an unlimited fine or jail time for repeat offending.
