The woman, aged 19 at the time, said she was dragged into a Brighton park at 4am and that she felt the attack was by somebody who knew what they were doing.
Accused Graham Head, of Pevensey, denies five charges of kidnapping, attempted rape and three sexual assaults in August and November 2022.
Lewes Crown Court previously heard the 68-year-old described as a fake Uber driver with a rape kit in his car who prowled the streets looking for vulnerable young women.
Police found Viagra, latex gloves, condoms and face masks in the car after chasing him through the streets of Brighton.
An examination of his phone showed searches for information on date rape drug GBL, the court heard.
The 19-year-old woman was attacked on August 19, 2022, when she was drunk and vulnerable, Paul Jarvis KC for the prosecution said.
He said Head withdrew money from a strip club in Brighton earlier the same night before pulling up in front of the young woman.
Head picked up the woman and took her to a park on the other side of the city, the court was told.
“The defendant was intent on sexually assaulting her,” Mr Jarvis said.
The young woman, who cannot be named, told police she fought off a man she described as looking older than her dad.
As they struggled, she managed to get to her phone and text a friend.
“I’m being raped,” she wrote.
When her friend immediately phoned back, she told police the man got off her and ran away.
The woman told police she was in the park waiting to be picked up when a man approached her.
“The man came up to me,” she said.
“I was a bit surprised, I assumed it was just a weird man who wanted to talk.”
The man grabbed her and started to sexually assault her, the woman said.
“He did not say a word,” she said.
“I was shouting at him to stop.”
The woman said she was wrestled to the ground and dragged into bushes when she fought back.
She said the man kicked and tried to sweep her legs to get her onto the ground, leaving her with cuts and bruises.
“I was still being held down,” she said.
“I managed to reach into my bag and quickly texted my friend and said I was being raped.
“I don’t think he noticed until the phone started ringing.
“I know he got up and ran away but I don’t know what direction because I was just focused on running away myself.
“I explained to my friend what had just happened to me.
“I was on the phone to her for the whole time and I know that I ran.”
The next day she called police and described a man with short, grey hair wearing a light blue Covid mask.
She said: “He looked older than my dad.”
In her statement to police, the woman’s mother said: “She said she was shouting and screaming.
“He kept kicking her ankles and feet in an attempt to get her onto the floor.
“She said he seemed experienced like he knew what he was doing or had done it before.”
A recording of the young woman’s 999 call was played to the jury.
She told the operator: “I feel like it was very calculated and he will do it to other women.
“I was fighting him for about 20 minutes.
“I’ve got cuts and stuff on my legs from being dragged across the ground.
“He kept tripping me up and pinning me to the floor.
“I was screaming and shouting.
“He definitely does this to other women.
“He waited till I was alone and that’s when he attacked me.
“I don’t think this is the first time he’s done this.
“I think the Covid mask was to hide his identity. I don’t want this to happen to anybody else.
“I’ve been lucky.”
The trial at Lewes Crown Court continues.
