Police and seven fire engines were called after a blaze broke out at a house.

The alarm was raised after the home in King Edward Avenue, Broadstairs, broke out at 11.30pm on Saturday.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using hose reel jets.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.”

Firefighters were at the scene for two hours.
