Gillingham’s leading scorer this season is among seven senior players leaving the club.
Jayden Clarke managed seven goals during the past campaign but the club have decided against offering him a new deal when his contract ends.
The Gills are in contract talks with four players over new deals.
There are discussions being made with Max Clark, Bradley Dack, Conor Masterson and Euan Williams, the four players having been offered fresh terms by the club.
Leaving the Gills, along with Clarke, are Tim Dieng, Alex Giles, Ashley Nadesan, Max Ehmer, Joshua Bayliss and Oli Hawkins.
Dieng spent the second half of the season on loan at Cheltenham and Nadesan spent the whole campaign at Sutton United.
Goalkeeper Glenn Morris and midfielder Robbie McKenzie have already signed new deals, with 16 other players already under contract.
Remaining under contract are Josh Andrews, Ethan Coleman, Sam Gale, Joe Gbode, Remeao Hutton, Nelson Khumbeni, Armani Little, Elliott Nevitt, Jack Nolan, Shad Ogie, Aaron Rowe, Jake Turner, Harry Webster, Jonny Williams, Marcus Wyllie and young forward Damien Theodore who joined in February from non-league Burgess Hill.
In addition, options have been taken up to retain young goalkeeper Taite Holtam and midfielder Stanley Skipper.
Four apprentices have been offered pro deals. They are Harry Bridle, Ben Clark (six months), Logan Dobbs and Harry Waldock.
Apprentices to have been released are Jimmy Heasman, Carter Sullivan and Ben White.
