Officers investigating the incident first arrested another man aged 36 following the incident but the force confirmed he had since been released without charge.

Emergency vehicles were seen parked between Barton Manor School and the Fyndon House flat block next to Russet Road.

The victim required medical treatment at a London hospital, though his injuries are described as not life-threatening.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the assault have now arrested a second 36-year-old man in connection to the incident.”
