Police were called to the incident on Downland Drive in Hove around 2.20pm yesterday (May 8).

Officers were responding to reports of what police described as an “altercation” on the road.

A 30-year-old man from Hove was arrested for grievous bodily harm and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He was later transported to custody.

A second man, also from Hove, was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and enquiries are continuing.

“Anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 757 of 08/05.”
