The Buckingham Palace has issued a straightforward response to Prince Harry’s claims in an astonishing BBC interview
The Buckingham Palace has issued a blunt response after Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with the BBC in which admitted that his father, King Charles has not been speaking to him and said he wanted to reconcile with the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex made these surprising claims in the BBC interview which took place after he lost a Court of Appeal challenge regarding his safety arrangements while he visits the United Kingdom. The appeal was dismissed today by, Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Bean and Lord Justice Edis.
The Duke’s appeal was against the dismissal of his High Court claim against the Home Office over a decision made by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec), arguing that he should receive a different degree of protection when in the UK.
The interview which took place in the US saw the Duke saying that the King won’t talk to him due to these security issues.

Among other stunning revelations during the interview, Prince Harry said that can’t “envision a scenario” where he would bring his family back to the UK.
He said: “For the time being it is impossible for me to bring my family back to the UK safely.
“I will continue on with a life of public service. So I will always support the charities and the people that mean so much to me.
“I can’t envision a scenario where I’d bring my wife and kids back to the UK at this point, they’d miss everything they know.”
Stressing upon his love for the country, the Duke of Sussex said it was “quite sad” that he wouldn’t be able to show his children Archie and Lilibet, his country.
He continued: “I love my country, always have, despite what some people there have done. Of course, I miss parts of the UK.
“It’s quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”
While he has said that King Charles won’t speak to him due to the security issues, the Prince said he has never asked for his father’s help in resolving the issue.
Instead, he said, that he had asked the King to “step out”.
He told BBC: “I’ve never asked him to intervene. I’ve asked him to step out.
“I step out of the way and let the experts do their job. The Ravec committee is an expert committee full of professionals plus the royals.”
Following the Duke’s allegations against his family and the King, the Buckingham Palace issue a straightforward 21-word statement.
The statement said that these issues have been “repeatedly” examined by the courts, reaching “the same conclusion”.
A spokesperson for the palace said: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
