Cops have revealed this morning that a body has been discovered in the Atholl Road area of Pitlochry.
This was at around 1.10pm on Sunday, April 27.
Formal identification has still to take place however the family of Thom Kane, who was reported missing from Greenock, has been informed.
(Image: Image of Thom Kane from Police Scotland) We previously reported that Thom, 56, was last seen in the Eldon Street area of Greenock at around 7.30am on Thursday, April 24.
Officers have said that there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances regarding the discovery.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
