Lydd Town finished out of the bottom two in Southern Counties East on Saturday – but their safety remains uncertain.
The Lydders did their business on the pitch – winning 2-1 at home to Corinthian – but still have the possibility of a four-point deduction hanging over them.
That hearing cannot be held by the league until the county FA finish with the case, with Lydd’s appeal to the decision not due to be heard until next month.
The league issued a statement earlier this week to confirm they cannot make any decision until after that time.
“We can confirm that the club were charged by the Kent FA with fielding an ineligible player earlier this season,” said the league in a statement. “As is their right, the club have appealed the decision made at county level.
“Only once this case has been completed by the Kent FA can the league, if required, progress any potential league charge.”
