Hybrid estate agency eXp UK has now signed up more than 700 estate agents with the firm expected to expand further later this year, the company has revealed.

Launched in November 2019, the digitally-focused platform initially signed up 50 agents but now has over agents on board, as more agents seek self-employment with a view to managing their own business.

The latest announcement comes less than a year since eXp UK launched its brokerage model – designed to convert existing branch-based estate agency businesses to the use of self-employed fee-earners – along with its own buyer representation programme.

This latest achievement cements eXp UK as the largest self-employed estate agency platform in the UK, according to Adam Day.

He said: “Whilst we officially launched eXp UK in November 2019, my role as head of UK began in April that year and whilst I could see the abundance of potential that the eXp model offered, even I couldn’t have anticipated the pace at which we would establish ourselves as the nation’s leading self-employed model.

“Six years on and not only have we amassed a huge 700 member agents, but we’ve continued to drive innovation within the sector, whilst offering the support, guidance and training required for our agents to succeed at the very highest level in their respective markets.

“It’s been an incredible journey so far and it’s one that is really only just beginning and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
