Police were called to Riverbank Street in Pollokshields at around 4.35pm on Friday (April 11) following a report of a “possible item of ordnance”.
A cordon was put in place as a precaution and the Explove Ordnance Disposal team attending to asses the item.
The item was found to pose no risk and the cordon was removed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a possible item of ordnance found on in the White Cart Water near to Riverbank Street in Glasgow around 4.35pm on Friday, April 11.
“A cordon was put in place as a precaution and Explosive Ordnance Disposal made aware to assess the item.
“It was found not to be ordnance and posed no risk.”
