A casualty on the tracks was reported at Stone Crossing station just before 12.40am yesterday (April 6).
Officers and South East Coast Ambulance crews attended, however, the person was pronounced dead.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Major delays were reported between London Charing Cross and Dartford as the incident was dealt with.
All delays have since returned back to normal.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Stone Crossing railway station at around 12.37am yesterday (6 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
