Cath was left emotional when she realised that her son, Robert Magee, 27, had dedicated a bus display to her with a heartfelt message.

Robert arranged for a picture of his mum and a loving message to be displayed on a First Bus as part of the company’s Mother’s Day competition.

Several other lucky winners were also given the chance to have their messages displayed on selected buses across the city.

The emotional moment was captured on video, showing Cath’s surprise as she discovered her picture and Robert’s message on the bus.

Cath said: “I can’t believe it.

“What a lovely thing to do.

“It made me feel so special and I’m sure the other lucky mums feel the same, so a big thank you to First Bus for making this Mother’s Day one I’ll never forget.”

Graeme Macfarlan, commercial director at First Bus Scotland, said: “What a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day, and I’m so thrilled that we’ve been able to help people share why they love their mums so much.

“It’s certainly a different and unique way of doing it compared to the usual chocolate and flowers, and I think you can see by the video of Cath and Ryan, as well as the other images from the winning pairs, that it’s been such a rewarding way for everyone to show their love on Mother’s Day.”
